Hey, Starlight travelers!
We have a simpler update for you today, covering the official closure of the original Starlight Arcana fulfillment period, our plans for the future of the book, and something very exciting that has already launched.
Umi’s Infinite Tales is soon launching on Kickstarter, and Starlight Arcana is getting a very large presence in the system!
There will be two full Starlight Arcana Adventure Decks, containing 200 Adventure Cards in total! These decks will feature encounters, discoveries, creatures, puzzles, roleplay situations, and other events taking place across multiple planets throughout the Sea of Stars.
We are still finalizing the exact planet split between the two decks, but the goal is to divide the Starlight Arcana worlds as evenly as practical so that each deck gets a strong selection of locations, monsters, and encounters from its assigned planets.
If you want to see Starlight Arcana expanded into an entirely new style of adventure generation, this is going to be a very fun addition.
📦 Officially Closing Fulfillment
Apart from a small number of backers we are already actively helping with their remaining pledge deliveries, we are now officially closing the original Starlight Arcana fulfillment period.
We kept fulfillment support open far longer than most campaigns normally would because we genuinely wanted to make up for the delays caused by freight, international shipping, fulfillment issues, and the various other problems that affected the original campaign.
At this point, however, it is time to formally close the project and stop taking on new fulfillment cases.
Thank you to everyone for your patience throughout the entire process. We truly hope Starlight Arcana has found a good home at your table and that you continue finding new adventures among the stars.
✨ Starlight Arcana Will Return
This is not the end of Starlight Arcana.
We are planning to relaunch the book in the future as a Print on Demand project through DriveThruRPG, making it far easier to access, replace, and reprint.
Most importantly:
- Every existing Starlight Arcana backer will receive the updated version
- The POD edition will be added to your DriveThruRPG library
- You will be able to order replacement or additional physical copies through POD
- There will be no additional charge for the updated digital version or access to the POD edition
You already bought Starlight Arcana. We do not intend to ask you to buy the same book again just because we are improving it.
📚 A Major Rework of the Corebook
When Starlight Arcana returns, we are planning a substantial overhaul of the book itself.
One of the biggest changes will be splitting the current book into two separate volumes:

Player Book: Player-facing rules, character options, equipment, and other material intended for players

GM Book: The full campaign, setting material, GM tools, encounters, creatures, and everything else needed to run the game
We believe this will make the material much easier to use at the table and far easier to navigate.
The update will also include a major editorial and design pass. We plan to:
- Rewrite and clarify sections that have received feedback over the years
- Rebalance and optimize mechanics where needed
- Improve organization and readability
- Reduce unnecessary empty space throughout the layout
- Improve the overall visual design of the PDFs
- Bring the books in line with the quality standards of our current Kelfecil’s Tales releases
Starlight Arcana is our flagship corebook, and we have wanted to give it this treatment for quite some time. We are very proud of what the original project became, and we are equally excited to eventually revisit it with everything we have learned since its release.
🌌 The Astral Maiden!
For everyone who supported us by purchasing The Astral Maiden module a few years ago, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We originally released it as a way for people to help us during a difficult period, and a huge number of you came through for us when we really needed it.
I actually finished the original Astral Maiden adventure about a year ago. Then I decided to write a second part. Then I wanted to make that bigger too. Then I kept adding more, and more, and more... until eventually we realized that this clearly wanted to become its own proper book.
So instead, The Astral Maiden will launch as a full Zine project on Kickstarter in February 2027!
Most importantly, anyone who purchased The Astral Maiden when we originally made it available will receive the FULL ALL-IN package from the new Kickstarter at no extra cost. That will amount to roughly three times the value of what you originally paid, and we really wanted to do something substantial for everyone who supported us back then.
The new book is planned to include:
- A 3-part adventure set throughout the Sea of Stars
- New Starlight spells
- A new subclass
- Expanded setting and adventure material
- Plenty of additional content that grew out of the original Astral Maiden concept
We have been building this up for quite some time now, and we genuinely cannot wait to show you what it has become.
For now, thank you again for supporting the project, sticking with us through the fulfillment challenges, and helping us build the foundation for everything that came afterward.

Hey, fate weavers!
We said we wouldn't make more updates, but certain updates are still needed for this project, so here we are! Let's get into it!
✨ Fulfillment is Completed
We are happy to report that fulfillment for Starlight Arcana is now fully completed. Our fulfillment partner has confirmed that the final wave of packages moved smoothly, and we are hearing from the remaining backers that their rewards are arriving safely.
If you have not received your pledge yet, please contact us right away. We have tracking codes for every single package, and we can look into the status of your shipment immediately.
Your books, cards, and extras should now be in your hands or on their way. Thank you once again for your patience throughout this process. We KNOW it was difficult, but thankfully, now it is done.
A few people have reached out asking about the bonus content and where to find it.
We shared a large bundle of extras for all backers, so please make sure to check your BackerKit downloads for everything that was included.
You will find:
• Print-ready files for all Minor Arcana cards
• A full collection of bonus content, including extra adventures and material set in the Starlight Chronicles universe
If you are missing anything from the list or are having trouble locating your files, feel free to message us and we will help right away.
EDIT: Keep in mind that some of these rewards are available only to specific backers. The extra Minor Arcana cards were given out only to backers that had a tarot deck in their pledge, whereas the collection of bonus content was given out only to backers in the US that had to wait a lot of extra time for their pledges to arrive.
📘New Version of Starlight Arcana
We also want to share something important regarding the future of the Starlight Arcana book. We are planning to create a new and fully updated version of the book.
While we were very happy to have Ori as our map maker for the project, she was understandably too busy at the time to give the PDF layout the attention it needed. Because of that, we ended up with a version of the book that we now believe can be improved significantly. The current layout has far too many empty spaces, not visible enough artwork and very awkward placement of text.
With the experience we have gained since then, and with the fact that we now handle all layout, presentation, and design work ourselves (myself and Dusky Cat doing all of that as usual), we are ready to give Starlight Arcana the polish and clarity it deserves. The new version will feature a complete layout redesign, along with improvements that make the book easier to navigate, read, and use at the table. That means, a lot of new text and a few new sections that will help with navigation and ease-of-use.
We already mentioned this during the Sailing the Stars campaign, but we wanted to restate it here for those who may have missed it.
One of the biggest changes will be dividing the content into two separate books. One will be player facing, and the other GM facing. This will make it far easier to share content with your players without revealing secrets or overwhelming them with a massive tome.
Once the new edition is ready, we will honor our promise and ensure every qualifying backer receives the updated PDF. You will get a redemption link through DTRPG, which will place the book in your library and allow you to always stay up to date if we update it again in the future.
🏋Practice Makes Perfect
This project was our first attempt at a full scale publication, and we learned a lot from the hardships and shenanigans that came with it. Starlight Arcana taught us more about publishing, logistics, communication, and production than any guide or tutorial ever could.
Since then we have taken everything we learned and used it to build a workflow that is reliable, organized, and consistently on track. We now update older PDFs regularly, deliver Print on Demand rewards as soon as they are ready, and produce new content at a level of quality usually associated with studios that release one major campaign every two or three years. We release three or four in that same timeframe, and we do it while maintaining the care, polish, and presentation that our work has become known for.
We have no plans of slowing down. Now that we have found a rhythm that keeps backers informed, happy, and steadily adding new books to their shelves, we are more excited than ever to keep creating and bring even more innovative and beautiful projects into the Starlight Chronicles setting and universe.

Status of All Projects
If you are ever curious about what the status of our crowdfunding projects is exactly, you can find all of that information in this very simple page that we've prepared for exactly that purpose:
Project Status Page
For Starlight Arcana, we are good and done. There are only a couple of people who have reached out to us and we are handling the shipping of their pledges personally, so other than those few, Starlight Arcana is officially "closed" as a project!
We really cannot say it enough; thank you to everyone that supported us with making this book. We went through very difficult situations with it and learned A LOT from it. All of the lessons we took from this project have helped us make all of our next ones in a much more consistent and reliable manner with barely any hiccups.
Other than Soulfrost Reliquary which has taken us a while to print, we had barely any delays (no more than a month for most of the projects) and have been consistently providing rewards to all of our backers.
Dusky Cat and I are constantly working on more and more awesome projects and we cannot wait to show you all of the amazing things we have planned!
Tarot Bonus Reward
We promised that we would reward all backers who ordered the Tarot deck with a digital file that will have ALL of the Major & Minor Arcana cards.
This is currently in the making as Dusky Cat is working real hard to get them all done as soon as possible.
You can expect this to arrive as a bonus reward before the end of November (the latest)!

With Starlight Arcana fulfilled, Soulfrost Reliquary hot in the presses and Crystal Chaos digital files going out (PDF is already in the hands of backers!)... we are ready for our next project!
Before I go into talking about Sirensong and the fact that it just launched, I just want to take a moment and say THANK YOU.
Thank you for your support with Starlight Arcana and thank you for all of your FEEDBACK on everything that we have been doing. We had so many ups and so many downs throughout this starlit journey and we are happy to have finally reached a point where we are sure of what we are doing.
We learned a lot from Starlight Arcana and we are glad we were able to bring those lessons forward to our next projects.

US/CA Fulfillment - Starting Soon!

Hey everyone,
Just a quick news update on the US/CA fulfillment.
US/CA Fulfillment Status
Here's a quick overview of where we are with the fulfillment for the US/CA region:
- All new shipping charges have gone through. If you had a payment failure or some other issue, please contact us via e-mail or via backer support (on BackerKit).
- We have sent out all of the address information to our fulfillment partner (GamesQuest).
What happens now?
- GamesQuest will now work with the fulfillment centers in those regions to get us the final quote for finalizing fulfillment.
- We immediately pay the invoice and fulfillment starts in those regions.
The fulfillment centers need some time to prepare and that is expected to take a couple of weeks. After that, about a month or so later, fulfillment will immediately start in the US/CA regions.
Once again, if anyone has any issues with their pledge, please reach out to us via e-mail or backer support. We have been helping backers with all sorts of issues non-stop.
Status of Kelfecil's Tales Projects
It is amazing to finally be finishing this project that took way longer than it should have and we just want to say thank you for your patience once again.

Friends in the Balkans!
It would be remiss of me if I did not give a shoutout to our friends over at Eren Chronicles who are running an amazing project right now.
Last time they reached out to us for a shoutout on their previous project (Exordium: Origins of Mythos) we were too busy trying to organize our projects and weren't able to give it the attention it needed. Better late than never and no time like the present as they say, since their current project is something that we deeply adore.
As someone who hails from the land of eternal sunshine (Greece) and has lived in multiple countries over the last two decades, with the latest being Poland (and by far my favorite so far!), I cannot stress enough how much I absolutely love the idea behind what Eren Chronicles have created with their latest campaign.
Zamanora is not only gorgeous but also unique in the way that it is approaching Balkan and Slavic folklore in TTRPGs in a unique manner. It is not secret that my favorite folklore RPG is Vaesen (and it is incomparable with how it does things), but to bring this kind of magic to the 5E system (and not only, since they are making it for two systems!) is no easy task.
The book is filled to the brim with all sorts of amazing stuff, like:

- 🖤Unique Mechanics
- 📖Rich Slavic & Balkan Inspired Lore
It is paramount that we also mention the fact that all of this is made by humans with no use of AI. We are super happy to see more and more creators and teams show what amazing things humans can do without using AI in their works!
But... why read all of my fancy words when you can go check it out for yourself! Seeing is believing and in this case you'll be a believer in no time!
(Personal note: I have read a bit of their previous book, Exordium, and I can tell you firsthand that the team behind Zamanora is a passionate one with a love for writing in a novel, fluff-full and overly-dramatic manner that draws you into the book and its stories. I absolutely love that and I really believe we need a lot more of that in our hobby!)
