3rd Stretch Goal down! The Eythereal Corsairs are coming!

Hey starfarers!
It has not even been 24 hours since launch and we have already unlocked 3 stretch goals! I am starting to think that we might just get them all! >.>
3rd Stretch Goal - New Subclass: Astral Buccaneer UNLOCKED!
The Astral Buccaneer is a subclass like no other. Easy to learn, hard to master is the best way I would describe it as it will allow all of you thrill-seeking, pirate-wannabe, corsair-lookalike adventurers to take things to a whole new level with skills that will allow you to do things such as planning the perfect mutiny!
I always said that the Fate Weaver and Astromancer subclasses are by far my favorite in the book, but the Astral Buccaneer quickly became one of my new favorites because of how fun it was to play it during some of the testing I ran for it.
The decision to make it both for Rogues and Rangers was difficult, but in the end, it just made a lot of sense, since I wanted to open up the options available to the core classes. There is still the idea of making it available to other core classes asell, but we will decide on that later on.

Mini-Stretch Goal? :O
Yes! It is indeed a MINI stretch goal!
For this one, once we hit 36k, we will unlock a short adventure with a beautiful map by the one and only The Goblin Explorer!
This adventure will be about raiding a corsair base and looting the pirates! Break into their holds, steal their Eyther, drink their rum, and plunder their armory! The adventure will be added to the book as part of the extra things you can let your players experience while roaming through the Sea of Stars. There are also plans for adding a bigger story arc with the Eythereal Corsairs.

Next x3 Stretch Goals revealed!
More monsters to populate the Sea of Stars, a whole new planet and expanded void corruption mechanics! I am so excited for all of them for so many reasons that I cannot wait to share with you!

2nd Stretch Goal + Updated Social Goals!

Hey star-loving people!
We have unlocked the 2nd stretch goal in just 12 hours and with that, I have a little surprise for you for the next one!
2nd Stretch Goal - New Planet: Fungal World UNLOCKED!
The Fungal World will now be included in the final book!
This planet is full of wonders and of course... dangers! Just like all the other planets in Starlight Arcana, the Fungal World will have its own adventures, side quests, monsters, NPCs and of course unique maps and environments.
It is important to note that no two planets will be alike in Starlight Arcana. Inspired by other popular media and specifically other games, I really wanted to have each planet feel unique with their own environmental hazards, unique mechanics that could help or hinder adventurers on their quests and a lot more.
So excited to be adding it to the already huge line-up of locations!
3rd Stretch Goal - New Subclass: Astral Buccaneer
For the next Stretch Goal, we have a new subclass that will take us to 13 subclasses in the book!
This is a very special subclass as it is one that both Rangers and Rogues can use. It is based on the Eythereal Pirates and Buccaneers that roam the Sea of Stars robbing and abducting other creatures that are innocently traveling from planet to planet.
Who are the Eythereals?
The Eythereals are a very old alien race that lost their planet after they mined it too hard while there are rumors that their planet was lost due to war and some kind of subterfuge from other races that found the Eythereals far too rich.
The Eythereals survive only by consuming Eyther. Since their planet is gone, so is their primary source for Eyther and because of that, they have now become the best traders in the galaxy as they scour every corner of the cosmos to find things that will sate their hunger. Some, however, took the less legal route and became Astral Corsairs, sailing through the Sea of Stars and abducting others so that they may use their intricate technology to absorb the life force of those they capture. They then consume the extract so that they may quench their endless thirst. This method only leaves them wanting more though since the Eyther extracted from other beings is not pure enough.
Our good friend KoboldMapper made a fantastic little comic that explains the whole idea behind the Eythereal Corsairs perfectly!

A quick change to Social Stretch Goals!
We really, REALLY want you to be able to unlock more spoilers and previews for the content in Starlight Arcana and I will admit that the Social Stretch goals we had were a bit extreme in terms of numbers we needed to be reached for each one of them.
For that reason, we are bumping all of the goals down a bit so that unlocking preview content is more feasible!

Hey awesome people!
It took only a few more hours before you managed to reach the 1st stretch goal and I cannot wipe the smile off my face since I cannot stop thinking that we are ACTUALLY GOING TO PRINT A HUGE ASTRAL BOOK SOON!
1st Stretch Goal - Backgrounds UNLOCKED!
I was always a huge fan of backgrounds that are closely tied to the theme of the campaign setting and especially after playing through Rime of the Frostmaiden that had amazing "secrets" for the players' characters, I was inspired to make something even more grand for our very own campaign setting.
You can expect some very comprehensive information and carefully selected and written backgrounds to choose from for your heroes during character creation!
2nd Stretch Goal - New Planet!
Next up, we have another planet to add to the galaxy map and the campaign story. The Fungal World!
Just like all the other planets, it will come with:
- Its own set of monsters
- Unique NPCs
- Adventures and Side Quests
- Unique Maps and Environment Art
Each location in the Sea of Stars and generally in the campaign that is in Starlight Arcana is FULLY explored through tons of playable content and illustrations that help bring it to life.

Player Backgrounds
For our first Stretch Goal, we have something awesome for players! We will add over 20 Sea of Stars flavored backgrounds to the already huge book we are printing. That means plenty of unique Background Options to help you make your characters and their backgrounds even more thematic for the astral campaign you are going to play!
These will work just like the 5th edition backgrounds you are already familiar with and will also come with some extra suggestions for character story, character secrets and some other ties to the Fate of Stars mechanic that is introduced in our campaign.
